We will be displaying our representative faith traditional celebrations that occur at this time of year.
All of these faith traditions – Divali, Christmas, Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, Bandi Chhor Divas', and Mawlid al-Nabi -- focus on the theme of “Light over Darkness”.
1. Please be at the staging area between 5:00 - 5:15pm ready to go, the Parade starts promptly at 5:30pm.
2. EAIC walking participants will walk in between the 2 cars that will have congregation banners on them.
3. EAIC participants are asked to each bring some form of light which can be a symbol of your faith based light celebration that occurs late Fall/Winter, for example menorahs, diyas, and advent wreaths.
Otherwise bring glow sticks, solar powered or battery operated pins, LEDs or flashlights.
Be as creative and decorative as you wish, main goal is to have FUN and have a good turnout of EAIC members and their families showing our diversity and faith traditions that focus on light, illumination and enlightenment at this time of year.
4. Bring your faith community banners to be either placed on the cars or hand carried.
See you on the 11th.
